I bought mine last February for a little under $300. I can't believe the price has jumped almost $100 for no significant changes.

Couldn't your LBS inspect your bars and tell you when to have them replaced also instead of saying they must be replaced every 6 months?

I have bent 3 bars now in the last 3 years, I change them every year if not when I bend them I buy a new set. I dont see the issue here. I was using Race face atlas bars from 2009 and on. No I am trying out the new renthals hopefull they last longer and dont bend as much but doesnt change the fact that I will change them every year.

Oh yeah I do but I inspect the frame and get the LBS to inspect it for any stress areas or cranks and I barely dent frames now because I have learned that investing in getting a carbon downtube guard made pays for itself in a few rides.

Be a man, LOL thats funny because if I would bend them back it would crack because aluminum does not take stress very well and they are crushed into the rim so try pulling that out.

Thats funny, how about working in construction as a Electrical engineer ?
How does that sound ? My rims are done after 4 months in the rear because the f*cking tire doesnt bed in because of the bent being to big or the rims litterally splits so with a one inch gap. Im pretty sure you dont ride enough too know and before any of that I worked at a bike shop, My pedals I usually keep them for 2 years but I change axles after I bend them or every year for safety of mind and my crankset I usually sell with my frame which is every year because I do not want to own the same bike after a race season for obvious reasons. Too put it into perspective, my last EX729 lasted 7 months and when I replaced it it had 9 cranks and 9 dents, I coudl not ride it anymore.

I replace my rims about ever 6-9 months and in the rear more often because either it has too many dents or cracks, and I ride EX729s I maintain my hubs ever 3 months.
Seat and post are not a problem because I never sit on them because I ride DH and race it too ! I only use it to lean into my corners. I dont see your point, your bars take a huge beating, as your pedals and your cranks and BB area and your bars are where the most abuse is taken from your body and it is a connection point to your bike, if your seatpost broke going 40 down a hill it wouldnt matter if your rim cracked going 40 would it matter ? if your bars decided to snap going 40 would it matter yes as you would surely crash.
You certainly havent ridden hard enough to break a set of bars now have you ?

I ride quite hard and it takes a toll on my parts, bars are something you definately dont want to be scared to replace.
if you knew how scary having a bar crack when you are pinning it on a fast and steep DH course is during a race run you would understand...maybe.
